Hackneys Zero Waste Hub

A money-free event we host in partnership with Hackney council. Bring along any good condition unwanted items or come and take any toys and books ALL FOR FREE at our big community Give & Take.

WE WILL BE A THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS 11AM-3PM:

Reuse and repair pop-up events

  • 17 June 2023, 11 am to 3 pm – Shacklewell Primary School, Shacklewell Row,  E8 2EA
  • 16 September 2023, 11 am to 3 pm – Grazebrook Primary School, Lordship Rd,  N16 0QP
  • 25 November 2023, 11 am to 3 pm – Thomas Fairchild School, Forston St,  N1 7HA
  • 16 March 2024, 11 am to 3 pm – Woodberry Down Community Primary School, Woodberry Grove, Woodberry Down, N4 1SY

  • Take any items that you want. Many books and toys will be available.
  • Donate any good condition items that you do not want
  • Book and repair any clothing or bikes for free.
  • Check out Hackney Fixers who’ll be there on the day too.

What can I donate?

You can donate just about anything, as long as it is in good condition:

  • garden tools, items and plants
  • household items and kitchenware
  • books and toys
  • bikes and accessories
  • clothes and textiles
  • bric-a-brac, arts and crafts
  • small furniture, mirrors and frames
  • small electrical items and tools

VHS tapes, CDs and DVDs, large furniture including mattresses and white goods, dirty and broken things and underwear won’t be accepted. All small electrical goods will be safety tested on the day.

What can I repair?

You can book appointments, or sometimes come along, to repair:

  • electrical items
  • bicycles
  • clothes
