We are pleased to announce that Forest Recycling P We are pleased to announce that Forest Recycling Project has received new funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to continue and expand our Green Champions work over the next five years.
This funding will support the launch of two ten-week programmes delivered in small group settings: Championing Biodiversity, a carpentry programme focused on developing practical skills while supporting nature, and Patch and Repurpose, a sewing and textiles programme centred on creative reuse.
In addition, the funding will enable the continued operation of the Walthamstow and Palmers Green Tool Libraries, and allow us to plan for the opening of a third community tool library in 2026.

The Scrap Project FRP is delighted to launch a ne The Scrap Project
FRP is delighted to launch a new series of creative workshops! The Scrap Project is an exciting initiative funded by National Lottery Awards for All, designed to inspire our community to make the most of waste and scrap materials in fun and imaginative ways.
Through a mix of individual and group activities, participants will build their sewing and making skills, enjoy social and wellbeing opportunities, and make a positive impact on the environment. Local residents are invited to join us in a warm, inclusive space where everyone can share ideas, learn new techniques, and transform scrap fabrics into something new—helping to divert materials from landfill.
We’re also proud to continue offering Patch and Repurpose, funded by the North London Waste Authority. This project introduces beginners to sewing and creative mending, empowering them with skills to reduce textile waste. Anyone who has taken part in Patch and Repurpose is welcome to join The Scrap Project to continue their creative journey, deepen their connection with the community, and support FRP’s sustainability mission.
Please take a look at the photos of the wonderful creations made by our participants.
If you’d like to join an upcoming workshop, feel free to email us at info@frpuk.org.
Stay tuned for details on how you can take part in our December workshops!
