By doing so, things are prevented from being thrown away and given a new lease of life. At each Zero waste event an estimated 2 tonnes of reusable goods are saved from landfill. Zero waste events also provide those on a low income with free access to household goods.
All our events are open to the general public. They are a great chance for people to get together, have fun, share knowledge, get rid of unwanted goods and save money.
Planned events are posted here and the Hackney Council website.
