PAINT DONATIONS from Companies and Organisations

PAINT DONATIONS

Doing something about paint waste

How Companies and Organisation can donate paint.

After every job, paint is left behind. Whether it’s the end of a contract, over-ordering, or a last-minute colour change, leftover paint is an unavoidable part of working in construction, production, and decorating. Industry estimates suggest that up to 10% of paint purchased for a project goes unused — that’s thousands of litres sitting in vans, storerooms, and skips every single day across the UK. Rather than disposing of it, donating your surplus means it goes straight back into the community at a price people can actually afford.

If you are an organisation or company with a surplus of good-quality paint, we would like to hear from you. If you work in construction, production, or a related industry and are looking for more sustainable ways to deal with your leftover paint, we may have a solution.

Please note: FRP is not a waste management service. We are a charity trying to find real solutions to reduce waste.

We can only accept paint that meets our quality criteria.

How donations work

1. Get in touch

Contact us by email or phone to arrange a suitable drop-off time at our warehouse.

Email: paint@frpuk.org   |  Phone: 020 8539 9076

2. Drop off your paint

Bring your surplus paint to us during our operating hours. All paint is inspected on arrival.

3. We check and accept

Our team assesses each tin. Unsuitable paint will be returned — our decision is final.

4. Pay the small fee

Fees are paid on the day. A receipt can be sent by email or SMS. Invoices available on request.

Once we accept your paint, we open every tin, check the condition, paint the lids for easy identification, and shelve them in our warehouse. They are then sold affordably to members of the public — giving good paint a second life instead of landfill.

Fees

£4  per standard tin    |    20p  per sample tin    |    £15  one-off admin fee (per donation visit)

Payment on the day. All fees are due at the time of drop-off. We cannot hold or store paint awaiting payment. An electronic receipt can be sent by email or SMS. If you require a formal invoice from our Finance team, an additional £25 surcharge applies.
