FRP Finished Projects

We run community projects where residents learn sewing, mending, and basic carpentry skills, both at our sites and through local events.

At Forest Recycling Project, we are committed to building a greener, more inclusive Waltham Forest. Our core mission is to reclaim, repurpose, and resell materials at affordable prices that would otherwise end up in landfill, helping to reduce waste and environmental impact. We currently recycle paint, scaffolding wood, and fabrics.

Alongside our recycling work, we run a range of community projects where residents can learn to sew, mend, and repair clothes while reusing fabric scraps. In our carpentry workshops, community members can learn how to use tools and develop basic woodworking skills. Our projects take place at our sites, and we also connect with the wider community through events beyond FRP.

We believe that social and environmental issues are closely linked, and volunteering is at the heart of everything we do.

On this page, we also highlight past FRP projects that have now come to an end but are still worth mentioning, as they were well received by the communities we work with.
