Volunteer with Us – Carpentry – Help with Orders and in the workshop!
What We’ll Be Doing:
- Yard improvement: This will differ between session -fixing anything that needs attention, and improving the space- We are keep to put planters in this year and grow more to make it a nice place to be.
- Workshop Tasks: As always, we’ll be de-nailing and sanding scaffolding boards, ensuring everything is in top shape for our projects such as helping make kits for our biodiversity carpentry sessions and making sure all the tools are in the right place.
Why Volunteer? This is a good opportunity to get to know FRP, and meet other volunteers. Whether you have carpentry experience or simply are just happy to help, your contribution will make a difference.
Skills Needed:
- Enthusiasm: We welcome people of all skills and most of all, a positive attitude!
- Basic Carpentry: If you have experience using a sander or drill driver that’s a bonus
Please note, that the volunteering is by appointment only (not a drop in) and space are limited. We may have to rotate people when we are over subscribed . If you are interested, please contact us by email.

All sessions start at 1.30 pm and run until 4.00 pm. We provide tea and coffee.

Impact: Maintaining and improving our workspaces. Using reclaimed wood to make products for our community customers which provides us extra income.
