Carpentry Workshop Volunteering

General workshop organisation and help with FRP’s orders

Volunteer with Us in September – Carpentry and Yard Renovation!

September is shaping up to be an exciting month for us as we focus on cleaning, yard renovation, and some essential building work. We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers to join us in our carpentry workshop and help with various tasks, including fulfilling orders, cleaning the workshop, and rebuilding part of our yard.

What We’ll Be Doing:

  • Yard Renovation: We’ll be building shelves, fixing anything that needs attention, and sprucing up the yard as we undergo some building work.
  • Workshop Tasks: As always, we’ll be de-nailing and sanding scaffolding boards, ensuring everything is in top shape for our projects.

Why Volunteer? This is a fantastic opportunity to get to know FRP, explore our carpentry workshop, and meet other volunteers. Whether you’re a seasoned carpenter or just eager to learn, your contribution will make a big difference!

Skills Needed:

  • Enthusiasm: We welcome people of all skills and most of all, a positive attitude!
  • Basic Carpentry: If you have experience using a drill, impact driver, or sander, we’d love to have you on board.

The Commitment: Volunteers to help each Thursday – 5th September, 12nd September.

All sessions start at 1.30 pm and run until 4.00 pm. We provide tea and coffee.
Place: FRP at 2c Bakers Ave. London E17 9AW

Impact: Transforming our workspaces to be more effective and more pleasant for us to all work in the future. Using reclaimed wood to make products for our community customers.
