Forest Recycling Project is more than a place to b Forest Recycling Project is more than a place to buy reclaimed paint, wood, and fabric, or to rent tools. It’s also a space to learn, create, and connect - through workshops' programmes and volunteering opportunities.
One of our fabric workshops focuses on rethinking fabric waste through the creative use of scraps and cutoffs.

In this space, we create new items using reclaimed cutoffs, scraps, and sometimes even leftover threads. Below, you can see a few creations made by our participants.

The Scrap Project FRP is delighted to launch a ne The Scrap Project
FRP is delighted to launch a new series of creative workshops! The Scrap Project is an exciting initiative funded by National Lottery Awards for All, designed to inspire our community to make the most of waste and scrap materials in fun and imaginative ways.
Through a mix of individual and group activities, participants will build their sewing and making skills, enjoy social and wellbeing opportunities, and make a positive impact on the environment. Local residents are invited to join us in a warm, inclusive space where everyone can share ideas, learn new techniques, and transform scrap fabrics into something new—helping to divert materials from landfill.
We’re also proud to continue offering Patch and Repurpose, funded by the North London Waste Authority. This project introduces beginners to sewing and creative mending, empowering them with skills to reduce textile waste. Anyone who has taken part in Patch and Repurpose is welcome to join The Scrap Project to continue their creative journey, deepen their connection with the community, and support FRP’s sustainability mission.
Please take a look at the photos of the wonderful creations made by our participants.
If you’d like to join an upcoming workshop, feel free to email us at info@frpuk.org.
Stay tuned for details on how you can take part in our December workshops!
