✨ Waltham Forest Reuse & Repair Fair – What a Year! ✨
You heard us calling you to the fair four times last year—and wow, what a difference we made together! 💚
For everyone who joined us (and those who want to know more), we have some exciting news to share… We did a lot of good! And by we, we mean you too! 👏
Commissioned by @lbwalthamforest Climate Emergency Team, these fairs were made possible thanks to @artillery_arts in partnership with us FRP, @forest.fixers Leytonstone and @walthamstowtoylibrary @the.reloved.club @walthamforestfashion Huge shoutout to the amazing people at Artillery for all their hard work! 🙌
📌 What did we achieve together?
✨ You participated in FRP's Give & Take, where many preloved items found new homes at each event
✨ You fixed your broken household items with forest_fixers
✨ You got your bikes sorted with Dr Bike 🚲
✨ You swapped & mended your beloved vintage pieces with The Re-Loved Club & Waltham Forest Fashion
✨ We collectively helped save 3 tonnes (yes, 3000kg!) of books, toys, and clothes from landfill 📚👕♻️
✨ We even gave away paint for free
🌍 Why does it matter?
Because these fairs help us reduce waste, cut CO² emissions, and support the local community! People found much-needed items for free (which is a huge help in today’s economy), and we saw so many happy faces leaving with new books, toys, and clothes. 💛
But that’s not all! Every fair introduced incredible community initiatives and local businesses that help with:
🔧 Repairing household items & electronics
📖 Fixing books & sewing machines
🛋️ Upholstery & DIY skills
🎨 Teaching painting & decorating
You also got to learn about the @walthamstowtoollibrary the Library of Things, Walthamstow Toy Library, and many other local services!

Adults of all ages and skill levels.
Anyone feeling isolated, between jobs, or seeking community
Those with sewing experience (we can adapt the programme to suit your goals!) or no experience at all!

✨Record-Breaking Fabric Sales
We sold more fabric than ever this year! With Anita’s help, we sourced stunning pieces from shops, homes, and even designers. You loved them, and we loved seeing them find new homes.
✨Beautiful Wood Creations
Planters, tabletops, shelves—you kept us busy. Huge thanks to our talented team for all the sanding hours!
✨Paint Giveaway Magic
In September, we gave away 878.5l of paint in just 3days! Your enthusiasm and kind feedback made it an unforgettable event.
✨Amazing Volunteers
Around 50 volunteers joined us—some for a session, others for the long haul. Everything you see in our shop is made by these incredible people. We’re so lucky to have such a passionate community!
✨Empowering Through Carpentry
Our Green Champions Foundation Programme empowered so many, from fixing things at home to taking charge of DIY projects. We’re especially proud of all the women who picked up tools and felt more confident and independent.
✨ Sustainable Living Made Easier
Together with Waltham Forest Council, we created a Directory to help you repair, reuse, and shop second-hand locally. Check it out on their website (link in bio).
✨ Events That Made a Difference
From Give & Takes to the Reuse and Repair Fair, you helped us save over 3❗tons of items from landfill this year! Every piece found a new home, reducing waste and supporting sustainability.
✨Celebrating Art
We joined two Art Trails in Walthamstow and Leytonstone, featuring works by @joannesegars & @lord9851. Your support means the world to us and our talented artists!
